Family Camping & Cabins in the Rustic Adirondack Foothills

Everyone looks forward to summer!  It holds those wonderful childhood memories of playing in the dirt and running through the sprinkler. Tall pitchers of lemonade and playing until you could just drop...and then getting up and doing it all again the next day!

Trail’s End Campground is a place where kids and grown-ups alike can make all of their summer dreams a reality — well almost! (Let’s face it — we’re realistic!) But we do see plenty of tired, dirty, happy faces at the end of each camping day!

Whether it is hot and steamy or cold and rainy, families enjoy the experience of togetherness that camping provides. In our quiet family atmosphere, campers can enjoy a rustic wooded atmosphere and still have all the comforts of home!

Hinckley Reservoir is a 7-mile-long, man-made reservoir. Recreational activities on the lake include:  boating and personal watercraft, fishing, swimming, water-skiing, tubing and "boarding". The lake has provided us with a sandy beach that our campers love! Our beach is private and just for our campers Monday through Friday.  Saturday and Sunday we are open to the public.

Because it is a drinking water reservoir, the lake level fluctuates based on water demand. When the lake level is high -- recreational boating is the primary focus as well as fishing and swimming. When the water level is down -- we just have more beach!!  No matter what the lake level -- Trail's End will remain that great spot off the beaten path that makes the trip worthwhile!

Check the current lake level HERE!

(Note:  an elevation of 1225 or higher means water is coming over the dam.)

Opening Weekend...

Was as nice as we've seen in a while!  The pancake breakfast was great fun and the food was good!  We hope to do that again when it's a little warmer.

This weekend is MOTHER'S DAY!  Come check out the BRAND NEW HOODIES we have in the store!  They make a great gift for moms!

Mom's will be treated to a free cone on their special day!  Don't forget about Moms vs. Kids Bocci Ball on Sunday at 2pm!

May 15-17th will be the opening weekend for Slushies!
