BEACH RULES

These rules are established for the safety of everyone. Your cooperation is MANDATORY!

TWO ADULTS, age 18 and up, must be present in order to swim when lifeguard is not on duty!

Children, age 16 and under, MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian AT ALL TIMES!

NO PETS on the BEACH or in the PICNIC AREA!  (Really. we mean it... it's a New York State Law!)  We always advise our campers who bring their pets to determine in advance what will be done with Fido while they are enjoying the beach.  Please refer to the PET RULES.

NO GLASS

Flotation devices are permitted at the discretion of the lifeguard. This means that you may be asked to remove or not use your flotation device if the lifeguard feels that it is a safety risk or if it diminishes his/her ability to watch the water.

Children age 18 and under MUST PASS A SWIM TEST to swim in the deep area.

No children under age 5 are permitted in the deep area, even with a flotation device, and/or parent.

No rough play, dunking, chicken fights, etc.

NEVER DRINK AND SWIM! Intoxicated individuals will not be allowed to swim. It puts everyone at risk.

The decisions of the lifeguard are final with regard to these rules and their enforcement.

BOATING AND THE BEACH

Many of our campers enjoy bringing their own boats or renting boats during their stay. Boat parking is available on the beach in the designated area. We encourage you to have a great time on the lake and at our beach. Please keep in mind the following rules:

NO SWIMMING OUTSIDE OF THE SWIM AREA! Our swim lines are set with New York State regulations and we cannot allow ANY swimming, wadding, playing in the water, floating on a raft, etc., outside those designated areas. Anyone who refuses to follow this rule will not be permitted to have a boat/jetski at the beach.

SAFETY FIRST! If the behavior of any patron of this facility or operation of any watercraft on the lake jeopardizes anyone's safety, we will contact the Sheriff's Department representative who patrols our lake.

No overnight boat/jetski parking on the beach.

Do not leave your boat/jetski unattended.  We are not responsible for any theft or vandalism that may occur.

NEVER LEAVE THE KIDS ALONE ON THE BEACH!!!!!  If you are out on the boat/jetski -- who's watching the kids? The lifeguards are not babysitters. You must stay on the beach if your children want to swim.

NO PETS --- NO PETS -- NO PETS --- ON THE BEACH!  Keep them on the boat or take them to the launch area. This is a New York State Regulation!

SORRY, ALL OF OUR BEACH/BOATING RULES AND REGULATIONS ARE NON-NEGOTIABLE. You can expect our management staff to support the lifeguards in their safety decisions and the enforcement of these rules.
